Terri White, editor of free weekly magazine Shortlist, has been appointed as the new editor of Buzz – The Sun’s new TV magazine.
White, who is also editor-in-chief of fashion quarterly Shortlist Mode, is leaving after more than two tears at the helm of the free weekly to take over from launch editor Jane Johnson.
Buzz was launched in September last year replacing the TV Mag as the free supplement given away with the Saturday edition of the Sun.
Julia Francis, deputy editor of Buzz, will be acting editor until White takes up her new role.
White said: ‘I am thrilled to be joining the excellent Buzz team.
‘I know it will be an exciting challenge and I have lots of big plans to make Buzz even bigger and brighter!”
White was appointed editor of Shortlist in September, 2008 after previously having been deputy editor of Maxim magazine.
She started her career in women’s magazines on Woman and Home and Now and has also worked on the launches of Pick Me Up and Nuts.
Dominic Mohan, editor of The Sun, said: ‘In Terri we have found someone with the vision and creativity to take Buzz to the next level.
‘She has lots of exciting editorial ideas and a great commercial track record. We are looking forward to her joining an already strong Buzz team.”
