An estimated 18m Brits tuned in on Saturday to watch the wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle with national newspapers on both Sunday and Monday filling their front pages and souvenir editions with photos of the happy couple.
But the newlyweds were also front page news around the world.
Coming just a day after another school shooting in the US, as ten people were shot dead at Santa Fe High School in Texas on Friday, New York’s Daily News covered both leading stories with a powerful headline.

In Australia the Sunday Telegraph, the Sunday Times and the Courier Mail all released souvenir issues, with the latter title saying: “Buckle up: Harry & Meghan are taking the royals on a wild ride.”
The New Zealand Herald on Sunday did the same, with a souvenir edition headlined: “Jewel in the Crown.”
