The Independent on Sunday has lost almost a quarter of its circulation in a year according to March’s ABC figures, released today.
The title plummeted 24.33 per cent year on year to 167,763.
The Sunday Telegraph and The Observer continue to see their circulation figures fall, with their year-on-year figures down by 4.13 and 6.65 respectively.
But The Sunday Times managed to increase their circulation by 33,831 from March last year, an increase of 2.80 per cent.
In the mid-market, The Mail on Sunday fell 7.52 per cent year on year. The Mail’s rival, The Sunday Express, also saw their year-on-year figure drop by 7.14 per cent.
The Daily Star Sunday recorded the only year-on-year increase among the Sunday tabloids, by 0.03 per cent.
The circulation figures for other tabloids all fell, with The People experiencing the greatest year-on-year loss at 11.83 per cent. The News of the World and The Sunday Mirror dropped by 6.29 and 8.21 per cent respectively.
The Independent on Sunday, The Mail on Sunday, The People and The News of the World were the only Sunday papers to see month-on-month losses in their circulation figures in March.
