ITN has signed a deal to supply The Independent with video content for its website – the latest in a series of partnerships between the broadcaster and newspaper groups.
The agreement will see some of ITN’s UK, world, entertainment, and financial news clips appear on the Independent.co.uk video player.
The broadcaster has also renewed its contract to supply Telegraph.co.uk with video news.
The Independent joins Mail Online, the Daily Express and the Daily Star, all of which already receive content from the news producer. ITN also supplies video to Metro and a number of regional titles published by Iliffe News and Media and the Midland News Association.
ITN Productions managing director Mark Browning said The Independent “shares the same news values as ourselves regarding the quality, distinctiveness and accessibility of content”.
“ITN Productions looks forward to assisting the Independent evolve its multimedia news offering and we look forward to a long and prosperous partnership between our mutual news teams,” he added.
