‘Freddie Starr rammed reporter’s car with his Audi’

By Andrew Pugh

Comedian Freddie Starr assaulted journalists and photographers encamped outside his Warwickshire mansion and threatened to attack them with baseball bats, according to reports.

The press has been camped outside Starr’s home since he was linked with the Jimmy Savile sex abuse scandal earlier this month, following claims – which he denies – linking him to an incident involving under-age sex in the disgraced star's BBC dressing room.

According to the Daily Star, Starr “flipped” yesterday and “rammed a reporter’s car with his Audi before swinging punches and slurring his words in a four-letter tirade”.

One member of the press said Starr “pulled his hair and reached into his car while trying to punch him”, while the “dishevelled” comedian reportedly told journalists: “I’m going to come back with a baseball bat. You’re scum, you c***s.

“I’m gonna go in there and make a phone call for some lads to come down here and f***ing wipe you out.”

Starr has previously said he would be happy to speak with police in relation to the allegations.
