The Guardian Media Group has appointed former Morgan Stanley executive Amelia Fawcett as its new chair, replacing Paul Myners.
Fawcett is currently chair of financial services firm Pensions First Group and was previously vice-chair of Morgan Stanley’s operations in Europe. She has been on the GMG board since June 2007.
Liz Forgan, chair of GMG owner the Scott Trust said: “Amelia is a true polymath whose field of experience encompasses business, finance, law, the arts and charitable organisations. She will be a superb chair of GMG and we are delighted to welcome her.”
Fawcett succeeds Paul Myners, who stepped down last October after he was made a peer and appointed minister for the City.
