Time Out is to expand its UK operation by launching six new online editions.
The title currently has a website dedicated to London, as well as a free weekly print magazine in the capital.
A website for Manchester is launching this week and will be followed later this month by a site for Edinburgh.
Websites for Leeds and Glasgow are expected to be unveiled in mid and late November respectively.
And sites for Bristol and Birmingham are to follow in the New Year, though exact dates have not yet been finalised.
Press Gazette understands that more websites for different cities are also in the pipeline.
Initially, the six new websites will lead to the creation of three new "digital content producer" jobs – one for Manchester and Leeds, one for Bristol and Birmingham, and one for Edinburgh and Glasgow.
The sites will rely on some content for Time Out's London edition – for film reviews, for example – as well as specially commissioned work from freelances and news agency events copy.
Time Out is also to host "blogger networks" for each city, which will see locals invited to submit copy. It is not yet known whether this will be paid for.
Similar blogger networks have been set up in a number of US cities which Time Out has recently expanded in to.
Time Out's weekly print edition has been free in London since September 2012.
