River launches monthly newsstand magazine Eat Healthy

By Dominic Ponsford

Customer publishing specialist River has launched a new monthly magazine called Eat Healthy.

The title has a print-run of 70,000 and is being launched by River itself, rather than for a client.

The core editoral team are editor Ceri Moorhouse, deputy editor Lucy Jessop and art director Hannah Talmage.

The magazine's content will be shared on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Pinterest. The magazine is also inviting readers to sign up for free to the Eat Healthy club to access “perks and privileges”.

Moorhouse said: “Interest in healthy eating is huge and growing, and with so many new names and products launching all the time, it's a massively exciting time to be heading up a new healthy eating magazine and working so closely with some great experts and brands.”

Editorial director Claire Irvin said: “The launch of Eat Healthy is a bold and exciting move, based on River’s in-depth experience of the health and food markets.

“It also underlines our belief in print as a dynamic part of the omni-channel content mix. Combined with a lively, targeted and inclusive digital strategy, we are looking forward to celebrating Eat Healthy’s success with some of its delicious and unique recipes.”
