The National Union of Journalists has extended by ten days the period during which union members can vote for the new editor of The Journalist magazine.
The deadline for the return of ballot papers has been extended because of disruption to the mail caused by a postal strike in the UK.
Votes must now arrive at the Electoral Reform Services offices in London by first post on Monday 16 November. The count will commence at 1.30pm on that day.
The eight candidates have all been notified.
