Louise Chunn, former editor of Good Housekeeping has been appointed editor of “modern thinking women’s glossy” Psychologies.
Chunn left Good Housekeeping in November 2008 after a rapid decline in circulation, and has previously edited InStyle and The Evening Standard’s ES Magazine, and was deputy editor of both Vogue and Elle.
She replaces Maureen Rice and will begin at the start of November.
Chunn said: “I am absolutely delighted to be joining Psychologies as editor. It’s an intelligent, inspiring magazine that seems a perfect buy for today’s women looking for a stimulating read.”
Circulation of Psychologies dropped 13 per cent to 130,608 in the first six months of this year.
The magazine, now four years old in Britain, is also published France, Spain, Italy, China, Russia, Belgium, South Africa, Romania and Mexico.
