IPC Media has revealed promotions for two senior staff on Golf Monthly following a strong digital performance for the title 2012.
Deputy editor Neil Tappin and assistant editor Alex Narey have been promoted to digital editor and managing editor respectively.
The magazine’s tablet edition reached 2,278 single issue sales in 2012 and the mag now claims to have 959 paid-for digital subscriptions.
Golf-monthly.co.uk’s traffic is said to be up of 27.4 per cent year on year in 2012 with an average of 102,083 unique users a month.
Video views are said to have increased from 1,532,870 at the end of 2011 to 3,368,415 at the end of 2012.
Editor Mike Harris said: “Neil has been right at the heart of that growth, most notably in video where he has produced two tuition-based apps that attracted significant sponsorship revenue from key clients and have already achieved over 40,000 downloads.
“Alex’ razor sharp grip on workflow has allowed us to work more efficiently than ever before, freeing up time for the team to produce great digital content without the need for additional resources.”
Golf Monthly’s print circulation was 56,806 in the first half of 2012, down from 58,775 in the same period a year earlier.
