Cruise International gets web revamp

By Oliver Luft

Chelsea Magazine Company has launched a new website for its cruise holiday magazine, Cruise International – the first of several online projects as the company aims to take its whole portfolio of titles online.

The relaunch of Cruise-International.com aims to incorporate greater social media interaction into its usual mix of travel news, features and tips and ideas on where to cruise.

Luke Bilton, digital publisher, said: “The cruise travel industry is in a period of rapid growth, and with users increasingly doing their research online, the time has never been better to launch a serious online product into this sector.

“Combining Cruise International magazine’s wealth of editorial expertise with a new user-experience, we expect the site to become a critical part of holidaymakers’ decision-making process.

“The website has been designed to deliver tailored advertising solutions for our partners to reach an affluent, high-calibre audience in an interactive environment.”

Chelsea Magazine Company is an independent publishing company which produces six magazines, including Artists & Illustrators, Military Times, Current World Archaeology, First Eleven and Britain, the official magazine of VisitBritain.

The company is understood to be in advanced talks with IPC Media over buying World Soccer magazine, Racecar Engineering and Classic Boat from the larger publishing company.
