Conde Nast’s digital chief swaps Vogue for Glam

By Rachael Gallagher

The head of Conde Nast’s interactive division, Abigail Chisman, has left the company to join online publisher Glam Media as european executive editor.

Glam Media is a female-orientated network of websites that syndicates lifestyle sites and blogs, as well as producing its own original content.

After starting in the US, the site launched in the UK in June this year. Chisman will be in charge of directing and driving editorial activity in Glam’s European arm – UK, Germany and France.

Chisman, who has been with interactive division CondeNet since 1995, said: ‘By uniting a wide variety of women’s publishers of all sizes, [Glam] have become the unchallenged gateway to relevant content and services.”

Chisman began her career at Conde Nast following a work experience placement that led to her contributing a daily fashion blog for Vogue.com.

Over the next 10 years she worked her way up though the company until her most recent role of general manager of Conde Net UK which saw her overseeing the company’s entire interactive business including GQ.Com, Glamour.com and Vogue.com
