Fighting for quality news media in the digital age.

Condé Nast claims digital profit up 32 per cent

By Sam Brodbeck

Magazine publisher Condé Nast has claimed that gross profit from its digital activities is up 32 per cent in the year to date as it announced the appointment of Jamie Jouning as UK digital director.

Jouning replaces Emanuela Pignataro who has decided not to return from maternity leave in Italy.

Jouning’s new role will combine Pignataro’s as UK country manager and his own position as publisher of Condé Nast UK’s digital arm.

According to a statement yesterday from Conde Nast: to date Wired.com has seen 31 per cent more hits than in 2010, Glamour.com is up 54 per cent, GQ.com has had 40 per cent more visits and Vogue.com now consistently has a million unique monthly visitors.

Jouning has previously held posts as publisher of Wired and associate publisher of GQ.
