Former BBC Breakfast presenter Sian Williams is the new face of Channel 5's flagship evening news programme, 5 News at 5.
Williams will be joining the show in the New Year.
Five News' current host, Emma Crosby, will be leaving the programme in November.
Williams described her new job as a "terrific opportunity and an exciting challenge" and said she is looking forward to joining "this talented and impressive team".
She spent more than ten years anchoring BBC Breakfast, but left the show in 2012.
In 2013 she said she was doing an MSc in psychology so she could help colleagues traumatised by war or disaster zones.
Williams has also hosted programmes such as Crimewatch, Goodnight Britain and National Treasures Live.
While Williams will present the 5pm news, Matt Barbet will continue to present 5 News Tonight daily at 6.30pm.
