NUJ: Irish Johnston Press strike averted

By admin

A strike proposed by journalists working on eight Johnston Press titles in Ireland has been averted after representatives from the National Union of Journalists met with local managers for a round of fresh negotiations.

Press Gazette reported last week how journalists were planning a one-day walkout this week over proposed job cuts which would coincide with the adoption of the controversial Atex content management system.
