WSJ attracts 30,000 Kindle subscribers

By Dominic wireposts

Dow Jones boss Les Hinton has revealed that the Wall Street Journalo, the US financial daily owned by News Corp, now has 30,000 subscribers to the Kindle e-reader edition.

Paidcontent reveals that this may make gross subs income of $4.5m a year. But News Corp may only be getting half of that, and Amazon controls the finances and the names of subscribers – all major stumbling blocks for any publisher.
