Video: Freelance journalist complains of ‘assault’ by police officer

By Dominic wireposts

A freelance journalist has alleged he was assaulted by a police officer whilst filming at an incident in Oldham.

Stuart Littleford is a broadcast journalist and is also editor of the Government and Public Sector Journal. He is quoted on the GPSJ website saying: “Suddenly, without warning, the officer…came up to me…grabbed my coat with both hands, lifting me off the ground throwing me back along the footpath into the side of a fire engine. I banging my head and camera against the engines door and mirror sending bystanders over in the process.”
