The Daily Mirror is today celebrating a victory in its campaign to honour members of the armed forces who are killed or injured in operations.
Defence Secretary Des Browne is expected to tell Parliament today that the government will posthumously give awards to those killed in conflicts such as the Falklands and Northern Ireland.
The Mirror first launched the campaign in August 2007.
