Ben Preston, the deputy editor of the Times, is reported to be leaving the paper after 15 years, according to the Observer media diary.
Preston was due to move from the deputy editor role to oversee the Times’s international editions, as part of a reshuffle by new editor James Harding.
• The Observer also reports that Rupert Murdoch has reached an out-of-court settlement with American publisher Judith Regan over the decision by Harper Collins (prop: Murdoch) not to publish OJ Simpson’s book.
