The Times will increase the cover price of its Monday to Friday paper by 10p to £1 at the start of next week.
From Monday the paper will cost the same as The Guardian, the Independent and The Daily Telegraph.
It’s the first time in 20 years the four titles have all been the same price, according to Media Guardian‘s Roy Greenslade.
Quality newspapers are becoming increasingly expensive after a wave of price rises in the second half of last year.
The Guardian joined The Independent on £1 in September. The Telegraph followed suit the following month. The Financial Times remains the dearest at £2 a copy.
The Times last upped its cover price to 90p on Monday 5 January last year.
