Strike halts distribution of French daily newspaper

By paulmcnally

A daily newspaper in the east of France has failed to reach newsstands for the second day running after technical workers at the title went on strike.

Journalists at the Dernières Nouvelles d’Alsace are still producing stories for the paper, which are then published solely online.

“The strike was called at night, after all the work had been done on getting the newspaper made,” management told Le Monde.
