Spectator apologises for editing Bill Deedes book review

By paulmcnally

The Spectator has apologised to Sir Peregrine Worsthorne after it edited his review of Bill Deedes’ autobiography to avoid offending its owners, the Barclay brothers.

Worsthorne has accepted the apology, but tells the Independent on Sunday’s Feral Beast column: “I wanted the PCC to wrap [sic] the editor over the knuckles for excessive sycophancy.”
