Sky News will tomorrow unveil Sky News Unplugged, a new weekly, irreverent news programme that will only be available online and on Sky News Active, the news channel’s interactive television service.
The weekly informal news programme will be presented from the news channel’s Milbank Studio by Martin Stanford, who also hosts Sky.com News, a weekday evening slot that looks at the day’s top stories on the web.
Sky promises that the programme will take “a sideways look at the week’s news”. The first show will feature Nick Pope, who once ran the British government’s UFO project. It will also feature Olly Mann and Helen Zaltzman from the Answer Me This podcasts.
Sky News Unplugged will first air live at 12:45 on Wednesday, 14 May on the live events section of the Sky News website. It will later be available on demand and on Sky News Active.
