Former Johnston Press chairman Roger Parry has ruled himself out of the race to become the next chief executive of ITV.
Bookmaker Paddy Power had put odds of 40-1 on Parry replacing Michael Grade when he steps down as executive chairman later this year to become non-executive.
Parry, who now chairs the Local Media Alliance, told the Independent on Sunday: “I’m not interested in being chief executive of ITV and I have not been approached.”
No word yet on whether Ant and Dec, at 500-1, are in the running.
