Permina, the country’s largest private equity firm, could be poised to make a £1.25bn bid for Reed Business Information, according to The Times today.
According to the paper, other private equity groups such as CVC, Cinven, Candover and Providence Equity Partners are also in the running for the company which includes New Scientist and Computer Weekly.
The paper understood that Apax and Guardian Media Group, who bought Emap’s b2b titles for £1bn have held talks about making a bid.
