One national newspaper could be rolling out the red carpet for its next work experience student – Prince William is reportedly looking into a brief stint on her majesty’s press.
The Guardian reports today that Clarence House is considering a work placement for William, currently training with the RAF, to teach him the inner-workings of editors and reporters, many of whom spend much of their time chasing stories about him and his on-off girlfriend Kate Middleton.
But which paper? The Sun or Mirror, and risk annoying the one he didn’t choose? The traditionally royalist Telegraph? Guardian reporter Stephen Bates seems to think his own employer would be the best bet, despite the “moderately” republican views of editor Alan Rusbridger and many of its staff.
I should point out that Press Gazette has a popular work experience scheme that welcomes students from all backgrounds, however regal.
