Press Gazette has won acclaim for its work experience scheme, being voted number one in the Wannabe Hacks’ top 50 work experience placements.
The blog – run by a group of aspiring journalists – asked its readers to rate their work experience placements.
The top five were:
- Press Gazette
- BBC Radio 4
- The Bucks Herald
- The NUJ
- Metro Digital.
Press Gazette normally has one person in for work-experience at a time and offers one or two-week slots.
Preference is given to those who are on an NTCJ-accredited course (or equivalent). Those interested in taking up a placement should email their CV to pged@pressgazette.co.uk.
As the current workie I’d advise anyone applying that the editor likes his coffee (grande caffe mocha, no sugar, no whipped cream, extra dry, with half skim, half full milk, with raspberry syrup) on his desk by 8.30am sharp.
