PCC complaint after Spectator change book review

By Rachael

The former Sunday Telegraph editor Sir Peregrine Worsthorne has issued a complaint to the Press Complaints Commission after the Spectator altered a book review he wrote of an autobiography of former Daily Telegraph editor Bill Deedes, reports the Guardian.

Worsthorne, who was reviewing Remarkable Lives of Bill Deedes by Stephen Robinson, complained that the Spectator removed a reference to the Spectator’s owners, the Barclay brothers, which he described as a “blatant piece of blue penciling”.
