Northcliffe titles launching business website for West Country

Northcliffe Media regional newspapers will launch the first of a new set of regional business websites next month.

The first such site, pooling business reporting resources from the group’s titles in the West Country, is set to launch next month.

WestBusiness.co.uk will pool resources from the the Western Daily Press, Bristol Evening Post, The Citizen in Gloucester the Gloucestershire Echo and the Bath Chronicle.

The site will feature both regional and national news stories, regular contributions from experts, interactive forums, diary dates for networking groups, as well as information on business travel, commercial property, investment, finance and gadgets.

There are 21,000 limited companies operate in the region, employing 45,000 senior executives and 85,000 other directors, the Bath Chronicle reports.

Further business sites along this model are
expected later in the year, Journalism.co.uk has reported.

Thisisbusiness-eastmidlands.co.uk will cover Northcliffe’s titles in Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire and Leicestershire. A similar site is slated for the South West.
