Newsquest Oxford editor redundancy leaves O’Neill editing 10 titles

By Dominic wireposts

Newsquest has made the editor of the Oxford Times and four other weekly Oxford-based titles redundant.

The move means that Derek Holmes will leave the company immediately after 20 years and responsibility for all Newsquest’s nine weekly titles and one daily newspaper in Oxfordshire will be taken up by group editor Simon O’Neill.

There’s more on this story on Hold The Front Page – which has relaunched today on blogging platform WordPress. It’s the first redesign for the site – which is owned by the big four regional newspaper publishers – in 11 years.
