News at Ten to air 30 second ad break

ITV is looking to introduce a 30 second ad break into the News at Ten

 It is seeking a single premium advertiser to back each programme, according to Campaign magazine.

The ad would run in designated advertising time rather than the beginning or end of the programme to avoid falling foul of the ban on sponsorship of news bulletins under broadcasting regulations.
