New York Times advertising revenues down 20 per cent

By paulmcnally

The New York Times Company has reported a 21 per cent year-on-year slump in November advertising revenues – including a four per cent drop in online ads.

The publisher said some of the worst-performing areas in print were cars, property, retail and financial services advertising.

Online display advertising grew, but this was offset by a decline in online job ads.
