New free weekly launches in Welshpool against established paid-for title

Former North Wales Media editorial director Graham Breeze is going up against one of his former papers with a new free rival.
Midlands News Association is launching a new 88-page free weekly for Welshpool called the Orwestry and Border Chronicle which will be edited by Breeze. It goes up against the NWN-owned County Times which has a paid-for circulation of more than 15,000.
