Leveson Inquiry video, including: Mohan, Wallace, Witherow and Weaver

By Dominic wireposts

The first Leveson Inquiry seminar on 6 October was a historic occasion – and the first time I have seen limelight-shy editors such as The Sun’s Dominic Mohan and the Mirror’s Richard Wallace speak in public.

The video from the opening four Leveson Inquiry sessions is now online and can be viewed here.

Session one, on competitive pressures, features: media analyst Claire Enders, former News of the World editor Phil Hall, former Daily Star reporter Richard Peppiatt, Times editor James Harding, Sunday Telegraph editor Ian MacGregor, Daily Mirror editor Richard Wallace and Guardian editor Alan Rusbridger.

Session two, on the same subject, features: blogger Roy Greenslade, Mirror journalist Kevin Maguire, former BBC bigwig Mark Damazar, Mail on Sunday editor Peter Wright, Sunday Times editor John Witherow, People editor Lloyd Embley, Sun editor Dominic Mohan and Daily Mirror editor Tina Weaver.

Session three, on rights and responsibilities, includes: Rusbridger, Sun associate editor Trevor Kavanagh, lecturer Brian Cathcart, Telegraph editor Tony Gallagher and FT editor Lionel Barber.

Session four, on the same, includes contributions from many of the above plus others including: Sky political editor Adam Boulton and Sun managing editor Richard Caseby.

Daily Mail editor Paul Dacre was conspicuous by his absence – but of course he is giving evidence tomorrow.
