Kimberly Dozier’s return to Iraq: ‘It was like breathing again’

By Dominic wireposts

Just under four years since she left Iraq on a stretcher, CBS reporter Kimberly Dozier has written about returning to Baghdad.

Dozier was seriously injured in an explosion which killed two British journalists: cameraman Paul Douglas and soundman James Brolan.

CBS had declined to allow her to return to a warzone – so she took the opportunity to return to Iraq as a private citizen.

She writes in the Washington Post: ” For someone who hadn’t been in the field in almost four years, it was like breathing again.”
