ITV has sounded out a number of potential investors interested in buying BSkyB’s 17.9 per cent stake in the company – as the satellite giant awaits a competition ruling on whether it must dispose of the stake.
According to the Observer, Channel Five owner RTL and “several American broadcasters” have expressed an interest.
The news comes as shares in ITV slipped to a record low on Friday, down 1.8p to 38.3p. BSkyB was also down 15.25p to 428p.
