Former WSJ editor tipped for Washington Post job

By paulmcnally

Marcus Brauchli, the former Wall Street Journal editor who quit the title in April after its acquisition by News Corp, has been tipped as the leading contender for the editorship of the Washington Post.

According to the Financial Times, the search for a successor to Leonard Downie is nearing an end. Top of the agenda for the new editor, who will take over in September, will be the integration of the Post’s print and online operations, which remain completely separate.
