John Ardagh, who covered Paris, regional France and Algeria for The Times and The Observer in the 1960s and 1950s, has died aged 79.
Ardagh wrote several books about France including The New French Revolution and was editor of the Good Food Guide and the European editor of the Good Hotel Guide. There is an obituary in today’s Guardian.
