Financial Times claims to have 2.1m readers a day

The Financial Times has combined data from print and digital readership surveys to claim an average daily global audience of 2.1m, which it says is up 9 per cent year on year.

According to the FT, the daily readership comprises 1.6m in print, 600,000 online and 25,000 via smartphone and tablet apps.

In August the FT had a print circulation of 331,883, down 11.9 per cent year on year. In the UK it sold just under 70,000 print copies a day.
