Espionage, racism and boring drivers: a veteran F1 journalist speaks out

By Patrick

Veteran F1 reporter Nigel Roebuck has spoken of his long career reporting from the world of Grand Prix.

Roebuck, who wrote for weekly magazine Autosport for 31-years and now works for Motor Sport,

Roebuck also says this month’s controversy surrounding racist banners and chants aimed at top British driver Lewis Hamilton is nothing new: the late Brazlian champion Ayrton Senna suffered similar abuse in the early 1990s.

Journalists should beware of reigning F1 world champion Kimi Raikkonen however, who is, says Roebuck at least, “the worst interview in the world”.
