The race to buy News International’s soon to be former Wapping headquarters in East London is hotting up with two clear favourites in the running, reports Printweek.
Land Securities is hoping to fend off a bid from private investor Marcus Cooper for the vast printing plant and office complex – thought to be worth more than £200m.
Any deal would involve NI renting the space while it searches for a new home for its four national newspapers and hundreds of staff.
Last night’s London Evening Standard reported that Cooper was set to secure the deal.
