David Yelland pens book for children about alcoholism

By admin

Former Sun editor turned pr man David Yelland has written a book for children about a boy with an alcoholic father.

Yelland, who works for London firm Brunswick, penned the book after his own battle with alcohol, which he gave up in 2005, calling the book: “the most important thing I have ever done.”

He said: “I am not the father in this novel. He is the man I nearly was. Some years ago, I realised that I would die if I did not stop drinking entirely and I saw that I needed help.”
