Daily Star cuts price to 20p

The Daily Star has today cut its cover price to 20p – making it 10p cheaper than its biggest red-top rival, The Sun.

The Northern & Shell-owned paper saw its average September daily circulation fall nine per cent to 731,433.

Here’s how the national newspapers stack up in terms of cover price:

Daily Star (20p) /The Sun (30p) /Daily Mirror (40p)

Daily Express (40p) /Daily Mail (50p)

The Guardian (80p) /The Times (80p) /Daily Telegraph (90p) /The Independent (£1)

Financial Times (£1.50)
