The Daily Mail has printed a correction after it gave its former chief executive the wrong honour in the New Year Honours list.
“Charles Sinclair, the DMGT chief executive who retired in September last year aged 60, was made a CBE in the New Year’s Honours list, not an OBE as earlier reported,” the paper said yesteray.
Sinclair, whose CBE was in recognition of services to newspaper industry, was one of a handful of journalists recognised in this year’s list.
