Cutbacks at Sun’s Buzz magazine further reduce prospect of Sun on Sunday launch

By Dominic wireposts

Up to 10 journalists are reportedly being cut from The Sun’s Saturday TV listings and celebs mag Buzz, providing more evidence that the Sun on Sunday is not going to happen.

The News of the World’s Fabulous magazine was transferred to the Saturday edition of The Sun following the closure of the News of the World a month ago.

The Guardian reports that ten out of the 20 journalists employed by Buzz have been told they are at risk of redundancy and that editor Terri White has already left. A slimmed down Buzz is reportedly proposed which will have less cross-over with Fabulous.

It is news which appears to suggest that Fabulous has found a permanent berth with the Saturday edition of The Sun, rather than this being a temporary arrangement pending the launch of a new Sunday title.

The Evening Standard reported on Friday that it believes News Corp has ruled out launching a Sunday edition of The Sun.
