Stewart Kirkpatrick, the editor of online Scottish news website www.caledonianmercury.com, has left left to become digital head for the Yes vote campaign during the referendum on Scottish independence.
Kirkpatrick, a former editor at Scotsman.com, is stepping down with immediate effect, reports allmediascotland.com.
Blair Jenkins, chief executive of Yes Scotland, said:
