Bob Martin joins new London-based picture agency Silverhub as director of photography

By Dominic Ponsford

Former British Sports Photographer of the Year Bob Martin has joined new London agency Silverhub as director of photography.

The agency was launched last month with a ten-strong team by former Getty Images chief operating officer Nick Evans-Lombe and former head of Getty Images editorial Adrian Murrel.

Martin will oversee how the agency shoots its news, entertainment and sports pictures for editorial and media clients and corporate brands.

Martin began his career at the Allsport agency going on to work at Sports Illustrated.

He said to have won more than 60 awards over his career, including the World Press Photo prize.

Silverhub co-founder, Nick Evans-Lombe, said: “Bob is yet another great addition to our growing team – he knows what works, can second guess issues for rights holders and brands well in advance, and is able to bring clarity and authority to each and every project he touches.”
