Seven months after News Corp launched iPad-only daily magazine The Daily – it is still a long way short reaching a sustainable level of subscribers.
Bloomberg reports that The Daily is reaching 120,000 “unique weekly visitors”. That includes those who have subscribed and those who have signed up for a free two-week trial.
The Daily is understood to have running costs of $26m a year so needs to reach around 650,000 paying subscribers to pass break-even.
