Mediaset, the Italian broadcasting group owned by the family of prime minister Silvio Berlusconi, has confirmed it is interested in bidding for ITV.
In a conference call today to coincide with its results, chief executive Giuliano Adreani said: “We are looking at it with a lot of interest, but also with a lot of attention, given the moment we’re going through.”
